All i did was use a laptop to change the channel on the router and extender. I don't have a link (I'm very sorry) but from what I've read, basically, the signal from the chromecast can interfere with your router, and they both end up trying to cast over each other and eventually they shutdown from strain, since they both use similar broadcasting techniques (honestly i have no actual clue lol just hopeful shots in the dark). I could stream 1080 YouTube or whatever without any issue. boom! All of a sudden everything was working wonderfully. So me not being too knowledgeable about this sort of inclusive setup just started toying with the settings (and after looking up least used settings on forums) picked something obscure, and. Lastly, i finally was digging through some forums after work one day, and randomly discovered in one of the comments a link for creating custom channels for your home wifi signal through the dualband. Second, i tried a bigger extender with 50,000 sq ft, dual band, with the capacity to split into two separate signals from one source (meant most likely for 2.4 and 5 ghz wifi config) - worked for only a week (This started around July last year)Р”Р‡irst thing i tried was a wifi extending device capable of 10,000 sq ft range (dualband), worked for a bit, then crashing began again Had 2nd gen chromecast on a 2.4 ghz wifi and it would continually crash.
